The electric tool consist of
three major components:
- The electric driver (small or
large).
- The transformer (same for both
drivers).
- The installation mandrel.
Special Notes:
- All three components are
required to install helically coiled inserts with the electric tool.
- Each thread size will require a
different installation mandrel (see table below).
- The Tangless CT1600 series of
installation tools can be used for both manual and electric
installation. For electric installation remove the
installation mandrel from the blue/green handle, and insert it
into the electric driver.
- A spare pawl, spring, and pin
are included with every CT1600 series tool (except metric
sizes). The spare parts are packaged in at plastic tube,
and are located in the back of the blue handle.
- Wrenches for setting the
adjusting sleeve are also packaged with every CT1600 series tool
(except metric sizes).
- Metric sizes require a different
installation tool for locking and free-running inserts. An
"L" or "F" suffix is used to designate
between the two.
- Kato strongly recommends Prewinder type tools
for UNF (fine) and Metric thread sizes.
