KATO KFS-12 Keyless Chuck Electric Driver (CT5408)
The Kato KFS-12 (CT5408) driver was specifically designed to drastically improve the end user experience when installing inserts using an electric tool.
With its a quick disconnect (keyless chuck design) it eliminates the hassle of using chuck keys, and no lost chuck keys to find or replace. The requires not lubrication so it is perfect for clean room applications.
The Kato KFS-12 (CT5408) electric driver does away with the need to purchase two (small & large) electric drivers to install a full range (2-56 thru 1/4" & M2.5 thru M8) of inserts sizes. The driver works with existing SBT-50 transformers from Kato, Helicoil and Recoil. Best of all the Kato KFS-12 (CT5408) driver costs significantly less than traditional (small & large) electric drivers from Helicoil and Recoil.
If you've gone Tangless, then you should seriously consider switching to this lightweight, easy to use, highly-versatile and cost-effective tool!
Please note that the Kato KFS-12 (CT5408) Keyless Chuck Electric Driver is designed to be used with hex shank mandrels. At this time hex shank mandrels are only available for Tangless inserts. Finally, the Kato SBT-50 (CT5407) power transformer is required with this tools.
So, if you're not using Tangless yet, this is just one more reason to switch over to this superior fastening technology.
