Great news for fans of Tangless: The National Aerospace Standards Committee (NASC) published NA0276 for Metric Tangless inserts. Publication of NA0276 permits broader acceptance, in particular from Aerospace & Defense companies looking to use Metric Tangless inserts. All KATO Metric Tangless inserts will now be certified to the NA0276 specification. The Cross-References and Product Wizard on our website have been updated to reflect these changes. With the addition on NA0276 for metric inserts and NAS1130 for unified inserts, all Tangless inserts are now covered by nationally recognized aerospace standards.
What is the NASC?

The National Aerospace Standards Committee (ASC) is a component of the Aerospace Industries Association's (AIA) Technical Operations Department. "The technical operations department is responsible for technical program management, operations, and industrial base issues as they affect the development and production of aircraft, missiles, space vehicles, and aerospace systems. It coordinates and develops policy, requirements, and standards relating to technical and operations issues."
